Thai-Massage/TCM in Switzerland : what’s really going on behind the curtains?

Numerous in all big Swiss cities, TCM-Massage Practice, also known as Thai massage, are now developing all over the country. Originally created by Thais, they are now opened by Chinese. What nobody talks about is that at least the 3/4 of them are places of prostitution, where erotic massage is practiced.

Some of these Thai massage salons belong to networks that can bring together up to 20 establishments. Most of these establishments are registered in the commercial register and masseuses are often legally employed there (this is not always the case).

The managers are often former prostitutes who have obtained papers to work in Europe - sometimes by marrying a Swiss citizen. For their Thai massage establishment, they recruit their masseuses through classified ads posted on the internet or via the Chinese/Thai community. They often accommodate these girls who have just arrived from China, further adding to the financial dependence of these improvised masseuses ...

TCM: easy activity to launch

Known as TCM (Traditional Chinese Massage/Medicine), these Thai massage salons have no problem settling in the most upscale neighborhoods. Anyone owning a legal work permit in Switzerland can open a massage parlor and offer any type of massages there, as long as the protected term "medical masseur/masseuse" is not used, and a license is not needed. The owners of real estate for rent are blinded by these three capital letters (TCM) as it sounds very serious to them and often take for granted the diplomas of masseuses obtained in Thailand or in China (of which it is impossible to verify the authenticity).

When I used to apply for a new location for TVR, I have always been 100% transparent with the owner about the business I am running and 9,5 times out of 10, I got a negative response from them or no response at all. Thai massage places proceed slightly differently. They hide behind this “serious” and “reassuring” name (TCM) and this trick allows them to proliferate like mushrooms (open Thai massage locations everywhere in no time). But everyone knows that in addition to the massages listed in the shop-window, other massages are possible ... massages for men ... massages that take care of their needs, in a different way…

The “Happy Ending massage”

Pink curtain, lotus flower and an "Open" flashing in neon letters in the window - a sheet taped to the door announces the program: Chinese massage, Thai massage, Tantric massage, relaxing, naturist massages; and also individual or couple massages. You often have to ring the doorbell to get pricing information.

At Thai massage studios, manual finishing, known as Happy Ending, is always the subject of an extension (extra), negotiated between the masseuse and the client, and is payable in cash. Not seen not caught! Half an hour later everyone goes back to their normal activities, as if nothing had happened. The proliferation of Thai massage parlors in Switzerland is the best kept secret!

As it cannot be seen, this new hyper-expanding urban Asian sex thrives with the greatest impunity. And no one says anything. Zero revolt. No one moans, no one talks about it. And those who want to do things transparently and legally are throwing up roadblocks in their way ...

Thai massage: A practice full of subtlety

In these Thai massage studios, you will find a few Thai masseuses but in reality, they are mostly Chinese or come from other Asian countries.

Additional services are never publicly displayed and/or advertised. Even on the phone, if you call for information, it will not be mentioned. It is only when you are in the massage room alone and in complete privacy with the masseuse, that she will have already massaged you for a while that in all subtlety, she will ask you the question and/or you (the client) will not be able to help but ask her. In many cases, you will get a positive response to your request for Blowjob or Happy Ending. And even in some cases, a full service will be possible. This is how it works in Thai massage places. They offer relaxing massages (which are publicly displayed), as well as erotic massages (which are not displayed anywhere). And when a client becomes a regular in a Thai massage parlor, everything becomes easier. The masseuses know the service he wants (because they pass the word among themselves, of course) and he knows that he will also get the desired service without having to talk about it. Going to a Thai massage place seems "more serious" and it certainly gives the client a better conscience than contacting a sex worker directly. However, gentlemen, let’s be honest here: it is exactly the same thing! The only difference is that one does it in a subtle way, the other one has a more transparent and straight forward approach.

Police: No Trespassing!

But why don’t the police just walk into these Thai massage brothels?

Apparently, the police is not authorized to enter a salon without a warrant and do not have the right to infiltrate it either. Suspecting prostitution activities or reading client testimonies on the internet does not trigger a procedure. Unless the police carry out a routine check and catches you on the spot, they must first identify those responsible. The investigation usually starts with a report or a denunciation ... But as these Thai massage establishments are very quiet and very discreet, this does not alarm anyone, although many offer illegal services (indeed, you need an authorization delivered by the Canton to be able to open a brothel in Switzerland). So, in fact it is very simple: no complaint, no police. No police = Thai massage studios have a bright future ahead of them!

Actually, in many of these Thai massage salons, there would be plenty to trigger administrative inquiries - and therefore cause closures of these establishments -, for basic questions of non-compliance with hygiene standards, lack of qualification of masseuses, illegal workers, no operating license ...

Now you know what is really happening behind the curtains of a Thai massage place and why so few Asian girl work as an escort in Switzerland (because most of them are to be found in places such as Thai massage studios.
