Thong for men: dare to wear it! 

 

Rarely worn by men, the male thong has its followers. Behind the alleged discomfort, it is rather a pleasant underwear to have on. The thong has traditionally been marketed toward women, but fashion has no inherent gender boundaries. Men wearing it challenge outdated norms about masculinity, fostering a sense of freedom in clothing choices. By wearing a thong, men can reject the notion that specific types of underwear are limited to one gender.

I want to say it right from the start: I'm a straight male. This is important because the underwear I am talking about seems to have a homosexual connotation for both men and women.

In any case, male thong seems to be a guarantee of lack of virility. Most women (this does NOT include Escort Girls who are very open-minded with the idea) find it funny at best, at worst they run away when they see a man wearing a thong. Heterosexual men in general are hardly more attracted to the thing. Homosexuals on the contrary, seem to have fully embraced that piece of clothing and broken free from outdated gender norms.

It must be said that no one is really used to seeing a man wearing a thong, except at Chippendale parties, in some movies, in sex shops advertisements, or in porn films.  

However, even if it is marginal, the male thong is becoming more and more popular. It sells a lot on the Internet.

 

 Why am I wearing a thong?

Originally, I just wanted to try it for fun. I once bought a thong in a popular sex store and since then, this type of underwear is part of my daily life.

I must admit that the first sensation was a bit strange when you are not used to it.  But honestly, a thong, when designed well, can be surprisingly comfortable for men, especially those made from soft, breathable fabrics like cotton, microfiber, or silk. Many men find that wearing a thong reduce bulk and feel more freeing under fitted clothes like jeans or workout gear (especially if you are doing a lot of sport). I personally favored the thong to avoid visible underwear lines and prefer a minimalist feel.

For me, wearing a thong daily is relatively comfortable as long as it is the right size (some recommend a size above your usual size).

Perhaps because of its minimalist and very sexy connotation, the thong remains associated with sex and women, which is probably why men hesitate to wear it, especially since big fashion brands do not advertise them at all.

Yet, I can assure you that it's nice to wear and that there's nothing provocative about being comfortable in your clothes while still feeling quite manly. In fact, even my girlfriend likes me in a thong!

Like any other fashion choice, to me, the thong reflects my personal style and comfort preferences. Embracing your body and wearing whatever feels good to you, regardless of societal norms, should be all what matters.

But given the very critical opinion most people have about men wearing a thong, I don't dare to admit that I wear it from time to time. I will never go to the pool or beach in a bathing thong and rarely wear one at work. Why? Simply for fear of judgment, which is a pity… I know.

In today’s world, where there’s growing acceptance of diversity in self-expression, it is still not widely acceptable for men to choose to wear a thong. Maybe one day maybe, thanks to a lot of advertising or after a celebrity has talked about it; the thong will become more than just an object of derision on a (heterosexual) man…
