Should you have fake long nails as an escort?

Escorts spend a lot of money to maintain their appearance. Some spend time (sometimes far too much time) taking care of their long nails... But what do men really think about them?

I randomly asked 23 men (between 21 to 79 years old) and 13 regular clients of The Velvet Rooms website what they think of women with long nails and here is a conclusion of the answers I received.


Nails: natural or artificial?

The vast majority of respondents said they do not like fake nails and prefer natural nails by far. Many also pointed out that false nails (often too long) do not reflect a classy image of a woman. When it comes to fake long nails, they remind them of the type of girls they see in porn movies.

Long nails are usually any length beyond 1cm. If you are an Escort offering a PSE (Porn Star Experience) service and you mainly want to attract this type of clientele, then yes, go for fake long nails. If, on the other hand, you want to meet a more sophisticated clientele, who is looking for a GFE (Girlfriend Experience) type of company, forget about the fake long nails because this will turn-off this type of customers and in their eyes, you will automatically “be put in a box” you may not belong to. To these more demanding Gentlemen, being elegant also means looking as natural as possible.

Also note that very often, fake long nails can come off in unexpected moments and create embarrassing situations. Imagine yourself, suddenly losing a nail during a dinner date... It is not only very embarrassing but also not classy at all, quite the contrary...

The shape of the nails: round or square?

Escort girls who use fake long nails usually tend to cut them squared. If asked for their opinion about nails shape, most men would say that they prefer to see those nails cut in a rounded shape as it appears more feminine to them.

Choosing to have your nails squared is a (almost) daily job to maintain them. If you have time, it’s OK.  Otherwise, choose the form that is the most appreciated by men in general and by escorts’ clients in particular. Pointed nails are to be avoided at all costs, as they can be dangerous during the intercourse. 

Nail polish on long nails

Unanimously, the interviewees said they disliked glitter polish, nails with patterns on them or neon nail polish colors. Men prefer pale, discreet or plain and sexy colors such as red or burgundy. Only a few of them mentioned dark varnishes (black for example) as being pretty.

Red polish is the embodiment of passion. Red has always been synonymous of love, sensuality, sexuality and even lust. Also linked to anger, it is a warm, energetic color, that of blood. It is the color of excess and turmoil. On the nails, red keeps this notion of chic and femininity. Red represents a well-asserted, lively and timeless femininity. It is the favorite polish color of High-End Escorts or those who know their job inside out and who only offer their services to a very limited number of Gentlemen, such as courtesans. This is the color I recommend you adopt, if you only had to choose one because it is also the color that appeals most to Escorts' clients. Alternatively, a clean and simply French manicure on your own nails or on fake nails that are not too long is perfectly acceptable.

Conclusion about fake long nails

Although long nails may represent a fantasy for some men, this is not the case for all escort clients. I will conclude by revealing what your clients will never dare to tell you: they prefer natural short nails over fake long nails because they find them more elegant and lady-like. They do not necessarily have to be polished but they must be clean, pretty to look at (no bitten nails of course) and preferably natural.
